Tesla CEO Elon Musk (48) was acquitted on Friday by a US court in a defamation case. British diver Vernon Unsworth sued Musk last year. Musk called Unsworth a ‘pedo guy’ on Twitter. Unsworth stated that Musk meant pedophiles. Unsworth claimed $ 19 million (Rs 1,368 crore), describing Musk’s remarks as tarnishing reputation.

The dispute started in July 2018
Elon Musk in his defamation case, argued that he did not mean pedophiles. ‘Pedo Guy’ is said to offend someone in South Africa more generally. Musk later removed it from Twitter. The dispute started in July last year. The children’s soccer team was trapped in a cave in Thailand. Unshowth was rescuing them. Musk arrived for help with the submarine, but Unsworth refused. He called Musk’s offer a PR stunt.

Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro said during the final hearing in court that the case was a debate between two people, with Unworth trying to take advantage of it. Musk had removed the tweet and also apologized. Nowhere did he mention the term pedophile, but Unsworth touted it.
