According to the authorities, the accused, identified as B. Chandra Mohan (48), stabbed his partner, Anuradha Reddy, to death before dismembering her body into multiple pieces for disposa in Hyderabad.

The shocking series of events came to light on May 17 when a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) worker discovered the head of an unidentified woman wrapped in a black cover at a garbage dumping site near the Afzal Nagar Community Hall, close to the Musi River and Theegalguda road. After an extensive week-long analysis, we apprehended the prime suspect. Through our interrogation, we have identified the deceased as Y Anuradha Reddy, aged 55 years. The accused and the deceased were in a relationship, and the accused allowed her to reside in a section of his ground floor since 2018. During this period, the accused borrowed a substantial sum of nearly ₹7 lakhs from the deceased but failed to repay despite repeated requests. The deceased began pressuring the accused for the money, which ultimately led to the accused becoming disgusted with her attitude and plotting to eliminate her.”

The police revealed that the accused meticulously planned the murder, which took place on May 12. “According to the plan, on the afternoon of May 12, the accused engaged in a heated argument with the deceased regarding the outstanding amount. Furthermore, the accused procured two small stone-cutting machines to dispose of the victim’s body. “Following the murder, the accused purchased two small stone-cutting machines to dismember the body. He decapitated the head from the trunk and stored it in a black polythene cover. Subsequently, he separated the legs and hands from the torso using the stone-cutting machines. The legs and hands were preserved in the refrigerator, while the trunk was placed inside a suitcase for disposal,” shared the police official.

“On May 15, the accused discarded the beheaded head of the deceased at the dumping site before fleeing the scene. In an attempt to prevent the spread of a foul odor, the accused used Phenyl, Dettol, Perfume Agarbatti, Karpuram, and perfume spray bottles on the body parts of the deceased. Additionally, he seized the deceased’s cell phone and sent messages to her acquaintances, creating an illusion that she was alive and residing elsewhere,” added the official.
