In a shocking case of brazen fraud, a man in Gujarat constructed an entirely fake hospital and had the audacity to invite senior police officials and administrative authorities to its grand inauguration without their consent. The Janseva Multispecialty Hospital, located in Surat’s Pandesara area, was exposed within a day of its opening after state authorities intervened, unveiling a dangerous scam that could have jeopardized lives.

Fake Doctors and False Credentials Exposed

The Janseva Multispecialty Hospital was promoted as a legitimate healthcare facility, complete with grand promises of advanced treatments. However, investigations revealed that at least two of the five co-founders held fraudulent medical degrees.

One of the co-founders, BR Shukla, claimed to be a doctor with a degree in Ayurvedic medicine. However, police uncovered that he was a fake doctor already facing charges under the Gujarat Medical Practitioners’ Act. Similarly, another co-founder, RK Dubey, who presented himself as an electro-homeopathy practitioner, was found to hold a fake degree and is involved in a similar case under the same act.

Senior police official Vijay Singh Gurjar confirmed the shocking revelations, adding, “We are also investigating the credentials of the remaining three co-founders. One of them, GP Mishra, is already embroiled in three cases under the Prohibition Act, and his medical qualifications are yet to be verified.”

Audacity Beyond Belief: Inviting the Police

What makes this case even more astonishing is the boldness of the fraudsters. The organizers not only opened the illegal hospital but also listed high-ranking police and administrative officials as chief guests for the inauguration—without consulting them. The officials arrived at the event unaware of the scam, only to discover the fraudulent operation when it was exposed by state authorities.

The hospital was immediately shut down to prevent any risk of unqualified treatments that could endanger patients. Authorities acted swiftly to dismantle the facility and launch a comprehensive investigation into its operations.

A String of Scams: Fake Institutions on the Rise

This scandal is just the latest in a string of audacious scams across India, where fraudsters have exploited gaps in regulatory oversight to set up fake institutions.

Fake Court in Ahmedabad

In Ahmedabad, a fake court shockingly operated for five years before it was uncovered. This phony judicial setup issued fraudulent rulings and deceived countless people seeking justice. The scale and longevity of this scam highlight severe lapses in administrative vigilance.

Fake Bank in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, another group of fraudsters set up a fake bank, recruiting employees, conducting fake training sessions, and duping customers into making deposits. The scam came to light only after nearby legitimate bank officials raised suspicions.

Fake Toll Plaza

Recently, a fake toll plaza was also exposed, where operators illegally collected fees from unsuspecting drivers. The toll plaza’s operations went unnoticed for months, raising concerns about the effectiveness of regulatory checks.

The emergence of such scams—including this fake hospital—points to a worrying trend of individuals exploiting administrative gaps to commit large-scale fraud.

Lives at Risk: The Dangers of Fake Hospitals

While financial scams like fake banks and toll plazas can lead to monetary losses, fraudulent healthcare facilities pose a far graver danger. By masquerading as a legitimate hospital, the Janseva Multispecialty Hospital could have endangered countless lives through unqualified treatments and misdiagnoses.

Authorities were quick to act, ensuring that the hospital was shut down before any patients could be admitted. “We couldn’t afford to let this continue even for a single day. Public health and safety are at stake,” an official said.

Public Outrage and Calls for Reform

The incident has sparked widespread outrage among citizens, who are questioning the credibility of essential institutions. Residents of Surat expressed shock and anger at the thought of unqualified individuals posing as doctors.

“Fake institutions like this hospital put lives at risk. It’s terrifying to think about what could have happened if people had been treated there,” said a local resident.Citizens are calling for immediate reforms to ensure that fraudulent setups are detected and dismantled before they can operate.
