No doubt everything from our childhood days holds a special place in our heart. Keeping that in mind, today we are going to remind of some of the forgotten vehicles which leave you simmering in the sweet nostalgia of childhood.
1. Hamara Bajaj: Yes! Bajaj Chetak is our first childhood love! Its ad “Hamara Bajaj” still gives us Goosebumps.
Chetak was the first vehicle that taught us to do an adventure with our rides, whether it be sitting behind our father and trying to stand on the sides, sitting towards facing the Stepney, spreading our hands and posing like a bird while our dads were riding the scooter!

We were in love with Bajaj; we used to clean it before our dads leave home for office/party and stood in the front, taking control of the accelerator as if we were the ones who were driving!
No doubt Bajaj Chetak will be an inseparable part of our childhood.
2. Lambretta Scooter: It used to be a family’s legacy back then, and many love stories reached their destinations because of Lambretta. It used to come in many colors but the one we love most is still Yellow.
Akshay Kumar was also seen 70s Lambretta Ride scooter riding and taking a trip back to memory lane in movie Action Replayy!
And nowadays, it has become the most awaited item in the classic collector’s list. Lambretta is expected to make a re-entry in the Indian market by this year (2019).
3. Luna Bike: A very classic, and fascinating Ride vehicle, which runs on motor power and in case you run out of fuel, paddle it down to your destination.
It was a comfortable, and affordable bike which provided us the plot for many childhood jokes because of its small size and shape. Luna become an inseparable part of the childhood of many out there!

4. Ambassador: Who hasn’t dreamt about having an Ambassador parked in their house as a kid.
And all the credit goes to the Indian Cinema that popularized Ambassador as the car of our dreams. Those who were lucky to travel in it know its comfort and the feeling it gives. It’s still maintained by the ones who own it and care for it as if it were a precious diamond! Ambassador was a car of glory, prestige, and much more.
5. Maruti Van (kidnapping van): Being a child, all I can remember is that Maruti Van was shown associated with all types of crimes in the movies.
This was the reason it got the name “Kidnapping Van” and we used to leave the roads or run back home whenever we saw it coming our way. Such was the terror of this car generally spotted in white and maroon colour.
However, it was a perfect family car, suitable for a big, happy family. The first eight-seater of India.
6. Fiat: Today’s generation can see it in movies but we have witnessed this beauty and the one who held the possession of this car was hailed as a king.
Only a few had this car and it was a sight watching it run on the black tarmac, sounding like a jet!
7. Premier Padmini-Car: Very few models of this car were ever found on the road but when it came to the movies, it was the first choice for the Bollywood villains and heroes alike.
It has been a part of some of the most exciting chase scenes in Bollywood movies. It is Thalaiva’s (South’s Superstar-Rajnikanth’s) favourite car.
8. Priya Scooter: Another Bajaj’s product which was offered to the Ride public in bright colours and the youth of that time was seen going Ga Ga over it.
This was one smooth rider.
9. Jeep: Remember the song ‘O mere sapno ki rani kab ayegi tu’? Yes Our hero Rajesh Khanna was seen expressing his love in a Ride Jeep driven by his friend.
Jeep was a style statement of the youth of that time as iPhone is a trend at the present. Travelling in an open Jeep was the dream of many! Remember how the wind used to caress the face and we used to stand at back, having fun with our Ride buddies while our dads/uncles used to drive!
These are the rides stored in a golden box inside our mind, and we could never get over them in this lifetime!
