On May 30th 2019, Narendra Modi marked the start of his second term in the post, and became The Prime Minister. He is the first ever Prime Minister who was born after the independence, he had performed his duties from 2014-2019 of the Prime Minister of India.
MODI’S EXPENDITURE SINCE 2014
Since June 2014 according to the government– an expenditure of about Rs 2,021 crore was sustained on maintenance of aircraft, chartered flights during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to foreign countries since June 2014.
The problem was raised in Rajya Sabha and the Minister of Foreign Affairs replied to queries on the problem by listing the countries which were visited by the Prime Minister from 2014 to 2018 which now top ten countries from where the maximum FDI inflows were received in India.
In 2014 from USD 30,930.5 million 2 USD 431478.27 million in 2017, the foreign direct investments grew massively said the minister.
According to the government at the end of this week, the visits that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had taken were 21 in number- all international since the year 2019. And an amount of more than ₹22.76 crore was disbursed on these Visits.
V Muraleedharan, who is the External Affairs, Minister of State- in a written replied to a query in Rajya Sabha and stated, a spending of ₹6.24 crore was incurred by the government since 2019 on eight international trips that the President took up.

An amount of ₹6,24,31,424 of Was incurred by the government for the president’s visit, for the prime minister’s visit an amount of ₹22,76,76,934 was disbursed, and for the external affairs minister’s visits since 2019 an amount of ₹20,87,01,475 was incurred- said the minister.
An expenditure of more than Rs 1346 crore was experienced on maintenance of aircraft, hotline facilities, and chartered flights during visit of the then Prime Minister from 2009-10 until 2013-14 while UPA-II; The minister said.
Singh shared the details while replying to queries on the official foreign tours of Manmohan Singh while he was in his second term in office from 2009 to 2014 and of Modi from 2014 onwards.
According to the information that was provided, a total amount of Rs 1583.18 crore was disbursed on maintenance of the prime minister’s aircraft, the total expenditure of hotline was Rs 9.11 crore and chartered flights during the period between June 15th, 2014 and December 3, 2018 was amounted to Rs 429.25 crore.
while the external affairs minister S Jaishankar took up 86 visits abroad, the Prime Minister took up 21 trips, and the president took up only eight international visits since 2019.
The Prime Minister visited The United Arab Emirates and The United States twice and he visited Japan thrice since 2019.
Among the seven out of eight President’s trips were taken up by Ramnath Kovind, and one trip was taken up by the current president Droupadi Murmu who visited the United Kingdom last September.
