This is a first ever jewellery exhibition in the world that is being held on board a cruise and was inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Bhatia, IAS, Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust.
On the occasion, Shri Sanjay Bhatia, IAS, Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust said that “We are in an exciting phase of the travel and tourism industry and are confident that cruise tourism will play a vital role in the sector’s rapid growth. We are undertaking several steps towards expansion and swift implementation of initiatives that will significantly boost cruise tourism in India. We are proud of setting a benchmark by being the first in the world to have a jewellery exhibition on board the Karnikacruise“.
The exhibition will display a mix of modern and traditional jewellery from various exhibitors and retailers from India, Bangladesh, Istanbul, Dubai and Kuwait such as Malabar Gold & Diamonds & Group, Joyallukas Pvt Ltd & Group, Arabian Gold N Diamonds, Versary Jewellery, Damas Jewellery among many others.The vessel Karnika has been chartered for four days. It will be cruising in the Arabian Sea bringing the concept of business and pleasure under one roof. The exhibition is curated by M/s. Jewel TrendzPvt Ltd. one of the leading gems &jewellery industry publications.
