The Supreme Court bench made this remark during the hearing of a case related to the management of a temple hundreds of years old in Bulandshahr. The bench said that it seems that the Uttar Pradesh government does not want any law to be there.

In a case related to the administration of temples, the Supreme Court said last Thursday that we are fed up with the Uttar Pradesh government. Is there a jungle raj in Uttar Pradesh? The lawyers there do not know under which rule the work is being done. After all, why does it happen that in most cases the lawyers presented by the Uttar Pradesh government do not have any proper instructions from the concerned authority.

According to Amar Ujala’s report, the bench made this remark during the hearing of a management case involving a temple hundreds of years old in Bulandshahr.

A bench headed by Justice NV Ramana asked the Additional Advocate General, appearing on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government, whether the state had any trust or charitable trust act? Is there any law regarding the temple and charitable donations?

On this, the counsel for the Government of Uttar Pradesh said that they have no knowledge of this. Angry at this, the bench said, “It seems that the state government does not want there to be a law.”

The bench said, “Looks like Jungle Raj is there.” We are fedup with the UP government. It is seen every day that lawyers presented by the government do not have proper instructions. Be it civil or criminal. ‘

The bench asked why is this happening? The angry bench has now summoned the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh in this case of 2009.

The bench said, “We want to know directly from the Chief Secretary whether there is any law regarding temple and charitable donations in UP?” The bench has asked the Chief Secretary to appear on Tuesday (October 22).

This case is related to the management of the nearly 300-year-old Sri Sarvamangala Devi Bela Bhawani temple of Bulandshahr.

A petition was filed in The Supreme Court challenging the order of the Allahabad High Court, in which the offerings of a temple in Bulandshahr were given to the pandas working there. After these allegations, the Uttar Pradesh government had formed a board to manage the temple, but this did not make much difference and thus the matter reached the Supreme Court.

A petition was filed against the Uttar Pradesh government on behalf of the temple in the Supreme Court. It was alleged in the petition that this decision of the Uttar Pradesh government is wrong and no law was followed for the formation of the temple board.
