Father-Son Duo in Bulandshahr found themselves in serious trouble again after their over-the-top celebrations landed them behind bars. The duo, Rizwan Ansari and his son Adnan, were arrested on charges of illegal arms smuggling following a raid on their vehicle. Police seized a significant amount of illegal firearms, including several pistols and ammunition, during the arrests.
Father-Son Duo Involved in Smuggling Activities
The father-son duo, residents of Shekh Sahiban Mohalla in Khurja Nagar, had been previously linked to multiple criminal cases. Rizwan, who had recently been released on bail on December 26, sparked fresh trouble after his return to the area. To mark his release, loud fireworks, DJ music, and celebratory firing took place in the neighborhood, drawing the attention of local authorities.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police officers intercepted Rizwan’s vehicle on the highway late Friday night. Despite attempting to flee the scene, both Rizwan and Adnan were caught after a brief chase. The search of their vehicle uncovered five .315 bore pistols, two 12-bore pistols, and two .32 bore pistols, along with live cartridges.
Criminal History and Legal Consequences
Rizwan Ansari has six prior cases against him, including five in Bulandshahr and one in Delhi, related to arms smuggling and other crimes. His son, Adnan, faces two cases in Bulandshahr. Both individuals have been charged under relevant sections of the law and will undergo legal procedures before facing further consequences.
The arrests underscore the authorities’ zero-tolerance approach to illegal arms smuggling and other criminal activities. With this latest incident, the police have reinforced their stance on tackling such crimes in the region.
