Winters are here, and like nature’s barometer, our skin is the first one to predict it. Everyone needs to keep a check on their skincare routine, especially in the winters, since our skin becomes delicate and can be seriously affected by the harsh climate.

So in this article, we will take you through a few basic things that you can do every day before you sleep, to get a glowing skin even in the winters. All you need to do is indulge in some me-time and pampering and we guarantee you the results will be very much loved by you and by all.
The face is the most important part of your body and the skin on your face needs the most care and pampering.
Most parts of your body remain covered most frequently, and so the skin is protected. The skin here gets more damaged due to the low humidity in the air. This is why you need to take extra care of this. So here are a few things to take care of the skin on your face before you sleep. We can assure you, your skin will thank you by glowing!

– Use lukewarm water to wash your face. Hot water may feel like a blessing, but it will strip away your natural oils.

– Use a good moisturizer. Invest in a slightly expensive moisturizer, which can stay on your skin for over 8-9 hours. You can also combine it with overnight face masks and serums that will retain the moisture of your skin.

-Avoid using fruit-based exfoliants as they can cause microtears on the skin. Instead, buy chemical or physical scrubs.

-Do not forget to remove any makeup before you hit the bed. Sleeping with makeup on can lead to clogged pores and later acne. Buy an oil-based makeup remover balm or oil-based micellar water to remove any impurities and tone your skin.

-For your hair, indulge in regular hot oil massages. Wash your hair 2-3 times a week in lukewarm water. Also, go for regular hair spas to ensure your hair don’t get damaged and end up in split ends.

-Don’t forget to take care of your hands and legs. Use vaseline to gently massage your hands and feet and the cuticles. Your feet, if they develop cracks use a foot cream.

– Hydrate your skin. Drink a lot of fluids, especially water to maintain the good quality of your skin. Consume water-based fruits such as watermelon, apples, oranges, kiwi, and watery veggies like celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and carrots. Make sure you’re getting enough vitamin C and zinc to support the healthy production of collagen and elastin. Consume more fatty fish and flaxseed to give your skin the building blocks it needs to appear supple and smooth.

– If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on buying moisturizers and creams, you can use DIY home-made masks. You can use natural moisturizing and kitchen items such as honey, avocado, yogurt, olive and jojoba oils, almond oil, bananas, and aloe
