The Gangs of Wasseypur actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been awarded the prestigious Golden Dragon Award at Cardiff International Film Festival in the UK. Nawazuddin was awarded for his excellence in cinema in the global arena. Nawazuddin has starred in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Raman Raghav 2.0, Kahani, Kick, Photograph, Thackery, etc. He also starred in Netflix’s original show Sacred Games along with Saif Ali Khan.
Cardiff International Film Festival was commenced in 1989 and was originally held in Aberystwyth as the National Film Festival for Wales, before being the movie to Cardiff for popularity.
On Monday, the actor took his Twitter account to share the news with the entire Bollywood fraternity. He thanked Mick Antoniw and the Cardiff International Film Festival for honoring him the Golden Dragon Award. The festival was held from October 24 to 27. Nawazuddin also served as an official jury member for the festival. The actor has recently made his debut on foreign television with the BBC series McMafia as one of the show’s main cast members.
