UP Man Killed His Mother, And 4 Sisters To "Save Their Honour"

A UP man killed his mother and four sisters in a shocking incident that has left the nation reeling. The accused, Arshad, aged 24, admitted to the gruesome act in a video he recorded at the scene of the crime, a hotel in Lucknow. In the video, Arshad stated that he was compelled to take this extreme step to “save their honour,” alleging that the local land mafia and neighbours in their hometown of Budaun intended to traffick his sisters after capturing their family home.

Arshad’s Chilling Confession

In the video, Arshad detailed how he killed his mother and three sisters by choking them and slitting their wrists, with his father allegedly aiding him. He mentioned his youngest sister, who was just nine years old, among the victims. Arshad claimed that their family had been subjected to severe harassment, resulting in their displacement and forcing them to sleep on the streets in the cold.

“Our house was captured by the land mafia. Despite having all the documents to prove our ownership, no one came forward to help us,” Arshad alleged. He named individuals he claimed were responsible, accusing them of plans to sell his sisters and frame his family in false cases.

A Plea for Justice and Conversion

Arshad made an emotional appeal to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for justice. He expressed frustration over their unaddressed grievances and revealed the family’s desire to convert to escape constant harassment. “We sought help from several people, but no one responded,” he said in the video.

In a harrowing moment, Arshad showed the bodies of his mother and sisters, stating that he intended to end his own life after recording the video. “No family in India should face this. We have saved their honour at great cost,” he added.

Connection to Land Mafia and Alleged Exploitation

Arshad accused specific individuals, naming them in the video, of being involved in land-grabbing and human trafficking. He also addressed claims labeling his family as illegal immigrants, stating that his aunt possessed proof of their residence since 1947.

The video also carried an unusual request: that their property be turned into a temple and their belongings donated to an orphanage, believing it would bring peace to their souls.

Police Investigation Underway

The heinous act occurred at Hotel Sharanjit in Lucknow. Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi confirmed the arrest of the accused at the crime scene. “Forensic teams have collected evidence, and further investigations are underway,” she said.

Authorities are examining the claims made in the video, including those regarding the land dispute, alleged trafficking, and harassment. Meanwhile, the disturbing incident has sparked outrage and calls for stricter measures to address harassment and exploitation in society.

This tragic case highlights systemic issues that can push vulnerable families into despair. The recorded confession and allegations against powerful local entities underscore the need for timely justice and resolution of disputes to prevent such horrifying outcomes.
