Agra Man Kills Mother And 4 Sisters At Lucknow Hotel

Agra man kills mother and four sisters in a chilling crime that has sent shockwaves across Lucknow. The perpetrator, identified as 24-year-old Arshad, lured his family to a hotel under the guise of celebration and carried out the murders in an alleged attempt to “protect” them from community threats.

Arshad, a resident of Agra, shared a video online after committing the murders, revealing his motive. He accused neighbors in Agra of plotting to take over their property and allegedly planning to sell his sisters in Hyderabad. “Our neighbors were trying to take over our property and planned to sell my sisters in Hyderabad. I couldn’t let that happen,” Arshad said in the widely circulated video.

Details Of The Incident

The family had checked into Hotel Sharan Jeet in Lucknow on December 30 to celebrate the New Year. On the fateful night, Arshad served his mother, Asma, and four sisters, aged 9, 16, 18, and 19, food and alcohol laced with intoxicants. Hours later, he allegedly killed them—some by strangulation using a dupatta, and others by slitting their wrists with a blade.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raveena Tyagi confirmed the gruesome discovery: “Today, the bodies of five people were found in a room of Hotel Sharan Jeet. The local police reached the spot, and a person named Arshad, around 24 years old, a resident of Agra, was detained.”

Arshad’s Video And Confession

After committing the murders, Arshad filmed a video showing the lifeless bodies and detailing the sequence of events. He confessed to strangling his mother and using similar methods on his sisters, claiming community harassment drove him to the act. In the video, he also accused his father, Badar, of assisting in the crime.

Following the killings, Arshad reportedly dropped his father at a railway station and then surrendered to the police. Based on his confession, police recovered the murder weapons, including the blade and dupatta.

Police Investigation Underway

Joint Commissioner of Police Babloo Kumar stated that the investigation is ongoing. “Bodies of five people have been found – four girls and their mother. The hotel staff confirmed they arrived on December 30, accompanied by their brother and father,” he said.

Police are examining nearby hotel staff and reviewing CCTV footage from the railway station to trace Badar, who remains at large. Officers are also waiting for post-mortem reports to corroborate the details of Arshad’s confession.

Motive Rooted In Family Disputes

Arshad claimed relentless pressure from their community in Agra was a driving factor behind his actions. He alleged their property was under threat from neighbors, who he accused of planning to exploit his sisters. These statements are being closely examined as part of the investigation.

This tragic incident underscores the devastating impact of unresolved disputes and mental turmoil. The police are working to uncover the complete picture and ensure justice for the victims.
