Infosys fires 600 freshers after they fail internal test: Report

Main reasons behind a company terminating an employee if they fail an internal test for several reasons, such as:

Performance: The internal test may be designed to assess the employee’s skills, knowledge, and performance in their role.

If the employee fails the test, it may indicate that they are not meeting the required standards for their job and may need additional training or support.

Quality control: For some industries, internal tests may be required to maintain quality control standards. For example, in IT companies, employees may be tested on their coding skills or knowledge of specific technologies.

If an employee fails this type of test, it may indicate that their work does not meet the necessary quality standards.

Compliance: Certain industries may have regulations or standards that employees must meet. Internal tests may be used to ensure that employees are following these rules and regulations, and failure to pass may result in termination.

It’s important to note that companies may have different policies and procedures for internal testing and termination, and the decision to terminate an employee should be made after careful consideration and following the company’s policies and the law.

When contacted Infosys to confirm the number of employees who had been laid off, the company declined to do so.

According to a techie awaiting onboarding, “I have a job offer from Infosys, one of the top IT companies in India, but my future still looks bleak.

Because of all the waiting and lack of income over the past few months, I already have a gap in my resume. Additionally, Infosys has not provided any details regarding the timeline for onboarding.

And now that some of my onboarded friends have been fired, I’m worried about my future because, contrary to what was once believed, the IT industry is no longer a mass recruiter with plenty of job opportunities.”

Reports say that two weeks ago, hundreds of employees at IT services provider Wipro were let go after failing the firm’s internal test.

While Wipro asserted that only 452 employees were terminated, sources claim that 800 freshmen were let go.
