AEML holds awareness programme for women employees

The advocates, authority from the Crime against Women dept. along with senior police inspectors shared meaningful insights during these sessions.

Rajendrakumar Dabhade, I.P.S, DCP (Enforcement), Crime branch Mumbai, was the Chief Guest for the day. During the session he said,” Our goal is to make Mumbai one of the safest cities and we are constantly striving towards improving safety of women and children. We are undertaking various important steps, to ensure a safe and secured environment for women and children. We are proud to be a part of such initiative taken up by AEML and other stakeholders that are creating awareness on such vital issues. We are committed to deliver these important insights and make every Mumbaikar cognizant of safety and security norms.”

A week prior to the session, a slogan writing competition was held on the theme of “Security and Women & Child Safety in which around 50 employees’ participated. The award-winning slogan selected amongst the 50 entries is “Kaam Ke Baad Kaam Ke Saath- Aapki Suraksha Aapke Saath”. During the session the security team announced that going forward this will be the motto for AEML security activities.

According to the National Crime Statistics Bureau, crimes against women increased from 3,38,932 in 2016 to 3,78,277 in 2018 with an average of 4803 cases registered in Mumbai. With crime rates increasing, AEML in collaboration with regulatory bodies has been working towards creating solutions to deep-rooted societal problems, especially those pertaining to the safety and security of women and children.
