A junior doctor raped in an abandoned hostel at Gajraraja Medical College premises in Gwalior has left the community in shock. The accused, also a 25-year-old junior doctor and a colleague of the survivor, was arrested shortly after she filed a complaint at the Kampu police station in Madhya Pradesh, authorities confirmed.

City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ashok Jadon revealed that the incident occurred on Sunday at an uninhabited boys’ hostel within the medical college campus. The survivor, who was staying at the girls’ hostel to prepare for an upcoming exam, was allegedly lured to the abandoned facility by the accused under false pretenses.
The accused, who had studied alongside the victim, called her to meet him at the derelict hostel. Once there, he reportedly threatened and sexually assaulted her. The survivor, showing immense courage, lodged a complaint with the Kampu police station the same day, leading to the swift arrest of the accused.
