BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy lauded Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) leader Arumugam Thondaman, a former Cabinet Minister of Livestock and Rural Community Development of Sri Lanka who is accompanied by Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa during their five-day visit to India. He said "Thondaman is dynamic and can be a bridge." He also went on to bash the northern Jaffna Tamilians.
