The Supreme Court gave a shock to the telecom companies, they will pay 92 thousand crore to government

In a major setback to Vodafone Idea, Airtel on Thursday, the Supreme Court has ordered them to pay the central government Rs 92 thousand crore. This led to a big drop in shares of telecom companies. The court has said that these companies will have to pay adjusted gross revenue (AGR). There was a long-running dispute between the Department of Telecommunications and the telecom companies regarding this issue.

The Bombay High Court has granted relief to the businessman and quashed prior orders. The case is ongoing before a division bench of the Bombay High Court comprising of Justice Ranjit More and Justice N.M. Jamdar. The bench had ordered the CBI to destroy all the copies of the said call recording of the businessman.

Defamatory Content against Ramdev to be removed globally: Delhi High Court

Delhi High Court directed the websites not only in India, but globally to remove any such content against Ramdev or his company Patanjali. Yesterday, Delhi High Court in the later limb of hearings directed Facebook, Google, YouTube (owned by Google) and Twitter to “forthwith” remove, block or disable on a global basis links to a video containing defamatory allegations against yoga guru Ramdev.
