Doors of Sabarimala opened, police prevented 10 women from darshan; Government said – temple is not a place of protest

The doors of the Sabarimala temple in Kerala were opened for the Mandal Puja festival on Saturday. The police sent back 10 women who arrived here to visit Sabarimala amidst controversy over the entry of women. These women, aged 10 to 50 years, were stopped by the police in Pamba. All these women came from Andhra Pradesh. In 2018, the Supreme Court ordered women of all ages to be given entry into the temple. However, a large bench of 7 judges will hear the petitions filed for reconsideration of the decision.

R-Com lost Rs 30,142 crore, Anil Ambani resigns as director

Four people, including Anil Ambani, chairman of the bankrupt closed telecom company Reliance Communications (R-Com), have resigned as directors of the company. According to the quarterly results released on Friday, the company had a loss of more than 30 thousand crores. This is the second largest loss in corporate history after Vodafone-Idea.

Private weather agency Skymet has released a list of the 10 most polluted cities in the world. According to this, the country's capital Delhi is the most polluted. Apart from Delhi, Kolkata ranks fifth and Mumbai is ninth in the list.

India successfully test-fires Agni-2 ballistic missile that can hit 2000 kilometers

India has successfully test-fired a 2,000-km-range Agni-2 ballistic missile from Balasore, Odisha. Defense sources said the surface-to-surface missile was tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR). The Agni-2 missile was tested last year but it has been tested for the first time at night. Its firepower can be increased from two thousand to three thousand km. The Agni-2 missile is capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
