Karnataka HC directs the state to plan for illegal immigrants in the state

In a judgment of the Karnataka High Court, the state government has been directed to lay out its plan in detail about the illegal migrants in the state. The state has been giving time up till November 26 for filing an affidavit with required information of the detention centres in the state of Karnataka. The state has required to detain the people who do not have the necessary paper works in the detention centres.

SC posts the hearing on Maharashtra on Monday, orders for production of letters of support. 

The matter was posted in a special hearing on Sunday and was posted before Justice N.V. Ramana, Ashok Bhushan and Sanjiv Khanna. In the proceedings, the Supreme Court bench issued notices to the newly-sworn in Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis (BJP) and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. They have been asked by the solicitor general Tushar Mehta to produce letters of the Governor on Monday for passing such orders.

BCI proposes to have a minimum experience clause for lawyers and judges

In a press statement issued by the Bar Council of India, they have revealed their proposal to include a 'mandatory experience' clause, by amending the Advocates Act. The mandatory experience clause implies that any new lawyer should have a minimum experience of two years of practice in a district or taluka court, before entering into practising the high court of any other state or Supreme Court. Besides, any lawyer willing to exercise in the Supreme Court should have had two years of experience at the high court level.
