SC refuses to stay the order of the Bombay HC, granting protection to Lawyers Collective.

he Supreme Court has refused to grant a stay on the Bombay high court’s order granting interim protection to lawyers Anand Grover and Indira Jaising in a plea filed by the CBI. Earlier, in this matter, the Central Bureau of Investigation [CBI] registered a criminal case, naming Anand Grover and other functionaries of the organisation, against their NGO Lawyers Collective for alleged violations of the provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA).

However, this revival plan will help BSNL and bring them back to normal functioning. Special Audit in YES Bank against the Whistleblower’s Complaints Received in September 2018

BSR &Co., the statutory auditor of Yes Bank Ltd has asked for a fresh audit, to have a detailed investigation in the complaint filed by the whistleblower against Rana Kapoor, founder of Yes Bank. This move came when the special audit done by JLN US & Co resulted into a nonconclusive process. In September 2018 a complaint was filed by a whistleblower against Rana Kapoor, and it was alleged that there is a gross irregularity in the working of the Bank and there is a conflict of interest in misclassifying of the bad loans and founder, Rana Kapoor. After that, the Bank’s audit committee ordered to have a special audit done into the whistleblower’s complaints, but that seems to have done no good. Not only a special audit but also an internal audit was done after the complaint was received, which was done by management which Kapoor led, and the Board supervised it. After the internal inquiry, Vadodara-based JLN was hired to take over the matter and conduct an independent inquiry.

Final hearing in Supreme Court on Article 370 from December 10, Center directed to file affidavit

The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered a final hearing on December 10 in the matter of abolition of special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Justice NV Ramanna said, "The central government should file an affidavit by November 22 to present its side in this case." The court directed the lawyers related to the case to collect all the facts and documents, as well as finalize the date of hearing.
